NaPoWriMo: Poem 1
I challenged myself to write a poem that would fit on Twitter.
I couldn't fit the stanza breaks on there, and I misspelled a word or two 🙈, but the post was made.
"Real Love"
I put on real pants for you
did you recognize this
act of love
my sacrifice of comfort
for your pleasure
deliberate self revision
to feel worthy by your side
beneath the scrutiny of others' eyes
because when you said
"it's fine
wear whatever"
I heard
"I love you too"
