NaPoWriMo Poem 15

"Time & You"

Time, time
I never have time
you say time is manageable
like herding cattle
it only takes a strong lead
a sense of direction
but is a beast so wild
ever really tamed?

Time is like sand they say
it's linear
it wrinkles
ripples like water
it twists, speeds, halts
every human measures
a second differently
all of these things are true
contradictions included

The truth is you never have time
because time has you
