"There is no poem for missing you"

I'd like to write a poem
about missing you
but the thought

the thought of it
is empty, dry

there are no words
that could make you
reconstruct you
filter you out properly
until you sang to life
once more

the whole endeavor
feels a cop-out
a sham

so I'll just go on
in the perpetual
state and silence
of missing you

and the poetry
the living music
you were
in my life
