So April is over.
Cut me a bit of slack though. I started late and was still in -oh-my-god-I 0just-pushed-a-child-out-of-me-shock.
On the plus side Spring and etc. I'm finally feeling like writing again, and while none of these were posted in April, some of them were created or inspired in April. So that is something.
12: Penny Poems
I wish I could keep poems
like pennies in my pockets
I'd pluck one out whenever
I needed to make you smile
13: The Dancer
Foulette, Adagio
Pas de chat and Plie
Tendu or Sur le cou-de-pied
En croix
complex sounding
sometimes actually
complex
to perform
but the desire
the need
that drags her across the floor
is simple
14: Baby Face
A giggle, a laugh
followed by a reddening
of your face
and then a cry
loud and shrill and alive
and then a sigh
how easily and fully
you feel
those feelings rushing by
before we can comprehend
the delicate little whys
15: a Family now
My evenings with you
were always nice
a movie, a meal
maybe getting a little extra work done
The weekends would be long
as short as they were
and full of just you
then we went and made the two of us
three
and when the hecticness of the world wind of family
and friends and coworkers and balloons
settled into the days that finally became seperate
again
and finally became whole
there were evenings with you
and with him
and weekends full of us
and "nice" became right
and whole
and wonderful
16: Bad Writing
Sometimes my writing is just
bad
Not campy bad
Not funny bad
Not bad oh-no bad
Just bad
baaaad
And the word bad
when said enough
loses all meaning
and just becomes a sound
bad
ba - d
b- ad
just like my writing
the pieces that are bad
that is
