NPM 20-21

Well. It would seem that grading research papers does something to my creativity. Maybe this is why I don't get more writing done in general during the semester.
Or maybe its just this lack of motivation I've had lately.
I know I still owe a poem today to keep up with the challenge, but I'll try to write two tomorrow or I will write it later tonight.

The two poems today I feel are pretty simple. One asks a question and the other just describes a scene. I really wanted to do one of those because I feel my poems have been complicated as of late. There's nothing wrong with complicated poetry, but if I'm going to be experimenting with it, as it were, I might as well try a few different things. I also plan on writing a limerick.

20. "Human Hospitality"

If magic people
or super mutants
or aliens even
really came
really evolved
really always existed
would we really treat them
so animalistic
Are we really as jealous
as hostile
as frightened
as fiction
claims
or have these horrid tales
served their purpose


21. "Spring Snow"

flower petals
flutter in the breeze
twist and dance
in the afternoon sun
then gently settle
down to sleep
amongst our feet
