NPM 26 and Contestants you should consider

The end of April is drawing near and I am yet again behind in my challenge. When I post my final poems this Saturday I have lots I'd like to say and share on the matter, but tonight there are some other things I want to shed light on.

As I have mentioned before, I am not sure how many people have joined me in my challenge for the month, but it is never too late to start.

Meredith Purvis posted some great tips to try and get involved here. I actually plan to tackle some of these in some of my final poems of this month.

Meredith also, in honor of the month, had a poetry contest. You can find all of the contestants here.

I also submitted a poem to the contest.

The winner will be decided by popular vote, so you should go give a vote or two. :)

Instructions found here.

So, it's been a pretty long day, but I don't want to fall too far behind, so here is one short poem for today. I will catch up more appropriately tomorrow.

26. Spring Rain

The storm fell away
like a crashing child
off a sugar rush

and in the sun
a deep puddle pulsed
laced with dogwood

cool breezes lingered
then followed me home
sneaked through my windows

and just like a kiss
the day quickly passed
my heart left wanting
