Black Snow

As I was driving home today I couldn't help but wonder how the world would be different if snow was black or appeared black. I mean besides just what that would look like, which might be neat considering, it would change so much culture.

I mean you couldn't sing White Christmas anymore could you? Would someone had wanted to sing Black Christmas?? Since colors have meanings that have slowly been ingrained in our culture over time what would this mean for black and white?

Would black be a more pure color? Or would it be even a stronger symbol of death since the leaves fall off the trees and the animals go into hibernation?

When it melted would it be clear or would it leave gray swirly water standing in our entrance ways?

Would it stain us?
