back on the wagon

It was kind of nice having life paused. Unfortunately I didn't take as advantage of it as I should have. Instead of getting ahead on things or finishing unpacking I beat Bioshock 2 and spent some quality time lounging with the hubby. Perhaps I should not have thought of it as life on hold...

It wasn't a complete waste I suppose, we dug 2 cars out of the snow, moved and mostly set up an apartment, made some tasty meals, brainstormed... well okay.

The new apartment is great except we are now in the armpit of the T shape of our building which means I can see into my neighbors apartment and they can see into mine. For someone who prefers to go pantless (not pantyless!)this can create issues, especially since I broke the blinds. hmmmm...

So far the smaller space has been more rewarding than inconvenient. It has proved that we do know how to be more efficient. The closest space is more practical and better categorized. There will be less to clean, though we may need to clean more often as it will likely get messy quicker. This is probably good for us as well though. It will create a good habit.
Using the stool more is annoying, but having enough shelving is wonderful.

Give a little get a little.

Life starts again tomorrow. It feels like a whirling Tornado coming my way. I'm trying to prepare for it. Catch up today. I know it is Valentine's day, but I will be working. Shoveling, Cleaning, Writing, and Grading. I went shopping and dancing and out to eat last night. It was a blast and we met another young couple. Which is always nice.

One day at a time, just like always, and I'll get back into the swing of things.
